We’ve decided to go for a George Shearing sound to begin 2012. To that end, I’ve invited the vibes player Michael Davidson and guitarist Nathan Hiltz to join Tim Shia, Chris Banks and me for the January 8th vespers. (Note that we moved to the second Sunday as the first is New Year’s Day.) While Nathan has been with us before, this will be Michael’s first time at St. Jude’s. In suggesting Michael to me, Chris described him as “astounding” and anyone who has met Chris will know that he’s not given to overstatement. I’m looking forward to meeting and making music with him. .
We’ll be at 160 William Street (corner of Thomas) at 4:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you.
